For many years, people from all walks of life, all over Ireland have been fighting sudden cardiac death and cardiovascular disease. As you know early Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and defibrillation saves lives. It doesn’t matter who does it... what does matter is that it happens fast. Hopefully you are all aware we have a defibrillator installed in our facility which is advertised and available for community use. For new members please make note of the location (it is on the front wall of the clubhouse outside the dressing rooms).
We are delighted to announce that in addition to this, your facility in Gortnaglough has been selected as the centre for Ballinhassig's Community First Responder Group which covers ~8k radius around our grounds. Our facility will also be used for Responder Group community meetings, defibrillator training, fire-drill exercises (don't be surprised to see some simulations of serious injuries take place at different areas of our grounds, like pitches, clubhouse, car park, even the field adjacent...)
