Our project has just been awarded €116,274 in the latest round of Capital Sports Grants. This represents another leap forward in the development of our club and future facilities at Gortnaglough.
We extend our thanks to everyone who has championed and supported this cause, Tánaiste Micheál Martin, Ministers Michael McGrath, Simon Coveney, and Thomas Byrne, Christopher O'Sullivan TD, Councillors Seamus McGrath, Gillian Coughlan, Tony Fitzgerald, Ben Dalton, Senator Tim Lombard and all those who advocated on our behalf.
However, we are even more thrilled to announce an additional €100,000 in funding, generously provided by business leaders who continue to show unwavering support for our vision.
A huge thank you to our incredible sponsors and the key individuals whose early efforts helped plant the seeds for this transformational project—not just for our club, but for the entire community. Their belief in our vision has brought us closer to making it a reality.
This is truly an exciting time for Ballinhassig AFC, as the dream of building a state-of-the-art, all-weather playing facility in Gortnaglough is quickly coming to life. With these latest contributions, we have now secured a total of €472,275 in funding, short of our target but bringing us ever closer to our end goal.
